Supporting country preparedness for COVID-19 vaccine deployment and implementation

WHO has been working with partners and countries to support them in preparing for COVID-19 vaccine deployment and vaccination implementation.

Detailed guidance is provided for the following 10 technical impetus areas:

  • management structure, advocacy and resources;
  • evidence-informed, ethical, values-based national vaccination strategy;
  • legal and regulatory frameworks facilitating vaccine deployment;
  • immunization service delivery modalities;
  • vaccine and supply chain management;
  • human resources and security;
  • vaccination data and information management;
  • vaccine safety monitoring;
  • safe injections and waste management; and
  • demand management, community engagement and communication.
